Catering Business Employment Contract Generator

This contract formalizes the employment relationship between the Employer, a catering company providing food service for weddings, corporate functions, private events, and institutional clients, and the Employee named in Schedule 1. The catering operation maintains a central production kitchen and deploys staff to client venues across the region.

Employment is on a permanent basis commencing on the Start Date. The contract reflects the event-driven nature of the catering industry, where workload concentuates around weekends, holiday seasons, and large-scale corporate calendars. All provisions comply with employment legislation in the Employer's registered jurisdiction.

The Employee acknowledges that catering work involves irregular hours, off-site deployment, physical demands including carrying service equipment, and strict food safety compliance at third-party venues where the Employer may not control all environmental conditions.

A probationary period of three months applies from the Start Date. The Employer will assess the Employee's performance across multiple event types, evaluating food preparation quality, ability to work under time pressure during live service, presentation standards, and teamwork with both permanent and casual event staff.

Either party may terminate during probation with statutory notice. The Employer will schedule a formal review after six weeks to discuss the Employee's progress in areas such as multi-course plating speed, dietary accommodation accuracy, and client-facing professionalism at venue sites.

Confirmation of permanent status follows successful probation. If the Employee has not yet demonstrated competence across all event formats (buffet, plated, canape, food station), the Employer may extend probation by written agreement for up to three additional months.
