The Employee's probationary period runs for three months from the Start Date. Termination during probation requires only statutory minimum notice from either party. The Employer will hold at least one review meeting to assess cooking speed, portion consistency, customer interaction skills, and the Employee's comfort working across different trading locations.
After satisfactory completion of probation, employment continues permanently under the full terms of this contract. The Employer may extend probation by up to three months if specific competencies, such as generator operation or trailer driving, still require development.
Duties, Role, and Exclusivity
Duties include food preparation in a mobile kitchen, vehicle setup and breakdown at trading locations, cash handling, and maintaining compliance with street trading permits. The Employee shall not operate a competing mobile food business without prior written approval.
Remuneration, Benefits, and Pay
The Employee receives a gross monthly salary paid in arrears. Event-based bonuses may be paid at the Employer's discretion following high-revenue trading days. Meals during shifts are provided at no cost from the truck's menu.
Working Time, Location, and Hours
Working locations rotate between market pitches, festival grounds, and private event venues. Shift times vary by event schedule, and weekend or evening work is standard. Travel between locations is considered part of the working day when directed by the Employer.
