Fish Market Employment Contract Generator

This Employment Contract is between the Employer, operating a fish market selling fresh and prepared seafood from its retail and wholesale premises, and the Employee. The market sources fish daily from coastal suppliers and auctions, requiring fishmongers, preparation staff, and counter sellers who can fillet, portion, and present seafood to exacting freshness standards.

The Employee is engaged permanently from the Start Date. The contract is governed by employment legislation in the Employer's jurisdiction and forms the complete agreement between the parties.

Fish market work demands early morning starts to receive daily catches, sustained work in cold and wet environments, handling sharp filleting knives, and maintaining product temperatures within the 0 to 4 degree Celsius range required by food safety regulations. The Employee accepts these conditions.

Probation lasts three months. The Employer evaluates the Employee's filleting and portioning skill across major species (salmon, cod, haddock, sea bass), freshness assessment ability, ice display presentation standards, and compliance with seafood traceability labelling requirements mandated by food safety authorities.

Either party may terminate during probation with statutory notice. A review at six weeks covers the Employee's knife skills, shellfish preparation competency, customer advisory ability on cooking methods and sustainability sourcing, and speed of service during the busy Saturday morning trade.

Permanent employment is confirmed upon satisfactory completion. Extension may be granted if the Employee needs further training on live shellfish handling, sashimi-grade preparation, or wholesale order fulfillment processes.
