Term, Probation, and Probation Review

The Employer evaluates the Employee's care delivery quality, adherence to individual care plans, competence in medication administration, understanding of safeguarding and Mental Capacity Act principles, and ability to build positive relationships with residents while maintaining professional boundaries.

Statutory notice applies during probation. A review at six weeks covers the Employee's documentation accuracy in care records, response to emergency situations, teamwork during shift handovers, and completion of the Care Certificate or equivalent induction standards.

Permanent employment follows successful probation. Extension may apply if the Employee is completing the Care Certificate, a Level 2 or 3 health and social care qualification, or requires further supervised experience with specific resident needs.

Duties, Role, and Exclusivity

The Employee provides personal care, supports daily living activities, administers medication, and follows individual care plans for each resident. Outside care work must not conflict with the group home's shift patterns or safeguarding standards.

Remuneration, Benefits, and Pay

Salary is paid monthly in arrears. Enhanced rates apply for night waking shifts, sleep-in duties, weekends, and bank holidays. The Employer funds mandatory training and DBS renewals.

Working Time, Location, and Hours

The group home operates 24/7. The Employee works a shift rota covering day, evening, night, and sleep-in shifts. The workplace is the residential home. Overtime and shift swaps are managed through the team rota system.
