Group Home Employment Contract Generator

This Employment Contract is between the Employer, a group home providing supported living, residential care, or assisted accommodation for individuals with disabilities, mental health conditions, or other care needs, and the Employee. The home operates under regulatory oversight from the relevant care inspectorate and employs care workers, support workers, team leaders, and domestic staff who provide person-centred care in a residential setting.

Employment is permanent from the Start Date, governed by the employment laws and care regulations of the applicable jurisdiction. This contract is the complete agreement, with the Employer's safeguarding and medication policies incorporated by reference.

Group home work involves providing personal care, administering medication, managing challenging behaviour, and supporting residents' independence and wellbeing within their home environment. Enhanced background checks and mandatory safeguarding training are conditions of employment.

A three-month probation applies. The Employer evaluates the Employee's care delivery quality, adherence to individual care plans, competence in medication administration, understanding of safeguarding and Mental Capacity Act principles, and ability to build positive relationships with residents while maintaining professional boundaries.

Statutory notice applies during probation. A review at six weeks covers the Employee's documentation accuracy in care records, response to emergency situations, teamwork during shift handovers, and completion of the Care Certificate or equivalent induction standards.

Permanent employment follows successful probation. Extension may apply if the Employee is completing the Care Certificate, a Level 2 or 3 health and social care qualification, or requires further supervised experience with specific resident needs.
