Microbrewery Employment Contract Generator

This Employment Contract is entered into by the Employer, a microbrewery producing craft beers, ales, and seasonal brews from its licensed brewing premises, and the Employee. The operation encompasses brewing, packaging, taproom service, and wholesale distribution, requiring staff with knowledge of fermentation processes, cellar management, or hospitality depending on the role.

The Employee begins permanent employment on the Start Date. This agreement operates under the employment legislation of the jurisdiction where the brewery is registered and licensed. It constitutes the complete terms of employment, replacing any prior discussions or informal working arrangements.

Both parties acknowledge that brewery work involves handling pressurized vessels, chemical cleaning agents, and alcohol products subject to licensing regulations. The Employee accepts these conditions and commits to maintaining the required certifications for their role.

The first three months of employment constitute a probationary period. For brewing roles, assessment covers mash efficiency, yeast management, quality control testing, and adherence to HACCP protocols. For taproom positions, the Employer evaluates product knowledge across the brewery's range, responsible alcohol service, and cellar line cleaning competency.

Statutory notice provisions apply during probation. The Employer will conduct a structured review within the first eight weeks, addressing brewing consistency metrics, safety compliance around hot liquor tanks and CO2 systems, and the Employee's contribution to the team's production schedule.

Permanent employment follows successful probation. The Employer may extend the period by up to three months if the Employee has not yet completed a full brew cycle for all core recipes or achieved the required personal licence for alcohol service.
