Trucking Company Employment Contract Generator

This Employment Contract is between the Employer, a trucking company providing freight transportation, logistics, and haulage services across regional and national routes, and the Employee. The business operates a fleet of HGVs, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated units and employs drivers, transport planners, warehouse operatives, and fleet maintenance staff.

Employment is permanent from the Start Date, governed by applicable employment law and transport regulations. This contract is the complete agreement between the parties.

Trucking involves long hours on the road, compliance with drivers' hours regulations and tachograph requirements, securing loads for transit, and maintaining vehicle roadworthiness. The Employee holds the required driving licence category and Driver CPC qualification and commits to ongoing compliance.

A three-month probation period applies. For drivers, the Employer assesses safe driving record, load securing competence, compliance with drivers' hours rules, fuel efficiency, and professionalism when representing the company at customer collection and delivery points. For office and warehouse staff, evaluation covers planning accuracy, stock management, or administrative efficiency.

Statutory notice applies during probation. A review at six weeks covers the Employee's driving performance from telematics data, delivery punctuality, vehicle inspection discipline, and adherence to the Employer's transport operating procedures.

Permanent employment follows successful probation. Extension may be offered if the Employee is awaiting ADR certification for hazardous goods, completing FORS driver training, or building experience on vehicle types not yet covered.
