Dog Breeding Business Employment Contract Generator

This Employment Contract is between the Employer, a licensed dog breeding business raising pedigree or specialty breed dogs for sale to approved homes, and the Employee. The business operates a breeding facility with whelping areas, puppy socialization spaces, and veterinary care coordination, requiring kennel staff, breeding managers, and puppy socializers who prioritize animal welfare and breed standards.

Employment is permanent from the Start Date under applicable employment law and animal welfare regulations. This contract is the full agreement. The breeding business operates under a local authority breeding licence with conditions governing the number of breeding dogs, facility standards, and welfare protocols.

Working with breeding dogs involves caring for pregnant and nursing bitches, assisting with whelping, hand-rearing puppies when necessary, maintaining kennel hygiene, and ensuring compliance with breeding licence conditions. The Employee acknowledges these responsibilities and the emotional demands of animal husbandry.

Probation runs for three months. The Employer evaluates the Employee's kennel management skills, understanding of canine reproductive health and whelping support, puppy socialization technique, compliance with the facility's welfare protocols, and ability to identify health concerns in dogs and puppies that require veterinary attention.

Statutory notice applies during probation. A review at six weeks covers the Employee's kennel cleanliness standards, feeding and exercise routine adherence, confidence handling breeding dogs of different temperaments, and record-keeping accuracy for health checks, vaccinations, and microchipping.

Permanent employment follows satisfactory probation. Extension may apply if the Employee has not yet experienced a full breeding cycle from mating through to puppy placement, or requires further training on neonatal puppy care and buyer screening procedures.
