Confirmation of permanent employment follows successful probation. If the Employee is pursuing a wine qualification (WSET or equivalent) funded by the Employer, probation may be extended to align with the qualification timeline, not exceeding an additional three months.

Duties, Role, and Exclusivity

Responsibilities include wine service, customer recommendations, stock management of a cellar holding 200+ labels, and bar preparation. The Employee shall not accept employment at a competing wine establishment without prior written approval.

Remuneration, Benefits, and Pay

Gross salary is paid monthly. Service charge distribution follows the bar's tronc policy. The Employer may fund WSET qualifications for eligible staff, subject to a clawback arrangement if the Employee leaves within 12 months of completing the course.

Working Time, Location, and Hours

The wine bar trades primarily in the evenings, with additional daytime hours for tastings and private events. The Employee works from the bar premises, with occasional attendance at supplier tastings or wine trade fairs as part of their development.
