Specialty Food Store Employment Contract Generator

This Employment Contract is agreed between the Employer, a specialty food store curating artisan, organic, imported, and gourmet food products from its retail premises, and the Employee. The store differentiates through product expertise, offering cheeses, charcuterie, olive oils, specialty grains, and rare condiments that require knowledgeable staff capable of advising customers on provenance, preparation, and pairing.

The Employee is engaged permanently from the Start Date under the employment laws of the applicable jurisdiction. This contract supersedes all prior arrangements and represents the definitive terms of employment.

Specialty food retail involves handling temperature-sensitive imports, managing short shelf-life artisan products, and providing a consultative sales experience that goes beyond standard grocery service. The Employee accepts these expectations as central to the role.

Probation lasts three months. The Employer evaluates the Employee's product knowledge across the store's categories, ability to recommend pairings and preparation methods, stock rotation discipline for perishable artisan goods, and rapport with the store's repeat customer base who expect an informed, personalized shopping experience.

Statutory notice applies during probation. A review at six weeks will cover the Employee's progress in learning supplier origins and tasting notes, visual merchandising standards for specialty displays, and accuracy in preparing custom hampers or gift selections.

Permanent employment follows successful probation. Extension is available if the Employee has not yet built sufficient expertise across all product categories or requires additional supplier visit experience.
