The Employer assesses the Employee's trade competency, site safety compliance, ability to work to drawings and specifications, timekeeping and attendance across project sites, and cooperation with the wider site team including subcontractors and client representatives.

Statutory notice applies during probation. A review after six weeks covers the Employee's quality of workmanship against building regulation standards, their adherence to method statements and risk assessments, output rates relative to programme milestones, and conduct during toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Permanent employment follows successful probation. Extension may apply if the Employee is completing a trade apprenticeship, SMSTS qualification, or other industry certification that has not concluded within the initial three months.

Duties, Role, and Exclusivity

The Employee performs construction tasks appropriate to their trade, follows site safety procedures, works to programme schedules, and maintains tools and equipment. Outside construction employment that conflicts with contracted hours or competes with the Employer requires written consent.

Remuneration, Benefits, and Pay

Monthly salary is paid in arrears, with rates reflecting the Employee's trade and certification level. Travel allowances are provided for sites beyond a reasonable commuting distance. The Employer funds CSCS renewals and mandatory training.

Working Time, Location, and Hours

The Employee works at project sites as assigned, with start and finish times aligned to the project programme. Early starts are standard in construction. Site locations change as projects complete and new ones commence.
