Construction Company Employment Contract Generator

This Employment Contract is entered into between the Employer, a construction company undertaking residential, commercial, and civil engineering projects including new builds, renovations, and infrastructure works, and the Employee. The company employs tradespeople, site managers, quantity surveyors, and labourers across active project sites, often under main contractor or subcontractor arrangements.

Employment is permanent from the Start Date, governed by the employment legislation of the applicable jurisdiction. This agreement is the complete statement of employment terms and complies with construction industry employment standards.

Construction work is high-risk and physically demanding. It involves working at height, operating heavy plant and power tools, exposure to noise, dust, and vibration, and compliance with CDM regulations or equivalent construction safety frameworks. The Employee acknowledges these hazards and commits to maintaining all required CSCS cards, trade certifications, and safety training.

A three-month probationary period applies. The Employer assesses the Employee's trade competency, site safety compliance, ability to work to drawings and specifications, timekeeping and attendance across project sites, and cooperation with the wider site team including subcontractors and client representatives.

Statutory notice applies during probation. A review after six weeks covers the Employee's quality of workmanship against building regulation standards, their adherence to method statements and risk assessments, output rates relative to programme milestones, and conduct during toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Permanent employment follows successful probation. Extension may apply if the Employee is completing a trade apprenticeship, SMSTS qualification, or other industry certification that has not concluded within the initial three months.
