Auto Body Shop Employment Contract Generator

This Employment Contract is between the Employer, an auto body shop specializing in collision repair, paint refinishing, dent removal, and cosmetic restoration for motor vehicles, and the Employee. The shop works with insurance companies, fleet operators, and private vehicle owners, employing panel beaters, spray painters, estimators, and detailers trained in structural and cosmetic vehicle repair.

Employment is permanent from the Start Date, governed by applicable employment legislation. This contract is the entire agreement.

Body shop work involves exposure to paint fumes, isocyanates, and sanding dust, operation of spray booths, welding equipment, and pneumatic straightening tools, and working to exacting finish standards. The Employee commits to following respiratory protection protocols and maintaining relevant certifications.

A three-month probationary period applies. For panel beaters, assessment covers structural alignment accuracy, welding quality, and filler application technique. For painters, the Employer evaluates colour matching accuracy, clear coat finish quality, and spray booth cleanliness. Estimators are assessed on damage appraisal accuracy and insurer communication skills.

Statutory notice applies during probation. A six-week review addresses the Employee's repair turnaround time, paint finish defect rates, compliance with health surveillance requirements for isocyanate exposure, and customer satisfaction with completed work.

Permanent employment follows satisfactory probation. Extension may occur if the Employee is still developing competency in ADAS recalibration, aluminium repair techniques, or insurance estimating software systems.
