Used Car Dealership Employment Contract Generator

This Employment Contract is between the Employer, a used car dealership buying, reconditioning, and selling pre-owned vehicles from its forecourt and online platforms, and the Employee. The business employs sales executives, vehicle preparers, workshop technicians, and administrative staff to manage stock acquisition, customer sales, and post-sale support including warranty claims and finance arrangements.

The Employee is engaged permanently from the Start Date, governed by the employment laws of the applicable jurisdiction. This contract constitutes the entire agreement and supersedes all previous terms.

Used car sales involve negotiating purchase and sale prices, ensuring vehicles meet roadworthiness standards, complying with consumer protection and distance selling regulations, and handling customer finance applications through FCA-regulated intermediaries. The Employee commits to maintaining any required regulatory authorisations for their role.

Probation lasts three months. For sales staff, the Employer evaluates closing rate, average transaction value, compliance with consumer rights legislation on vehicle descriptions, and customer satisfaction scores. For preparers and technicians, assessment covers reconditioning quality, turnaround time from acquisition to forecourt, and pre-delivery inspection thoroughness.

Statutory notice applies during probation. A review at six weeks addresses the Employee's product knowledge across stock, finance product compliance, follow-up engagement with prospects, and contribution to the dealership's online review rating.

Permanent employment follows successful probation. Extension is available if the Employee is still completing FCA compliance training, manufacturer-approved used car certification, or advanced negotiation skills development.
